If you don't have a travel partner but wish to travel at twin share rates, we will try to match you up with someone else in the same position, but this is not guaranteed. For a single room there is an additional cost of $1060. 

Passengers flying from Melbourne will require an extra night with breakfast in Seoul and a domestic connecting flight on the return, from Sydney to Melbourne, at an extra cost of $150 per person twin share and $190 single room.

Seoul - Mt Sorak
After breakfast transfer to Mountain Sorak. The journey will take 4-5 hours. We depart Mt Sorak National Park where we take a cable car to one of the peaks for panoramic views of Mt Sorak. Seoraksan's aerial tramway runs 1100 mt (3,608 ft) from the valley floor to the ridge above. The five minute ride offers a birds eye view of the Outer Seorak area. About 100 mt below the upper cable car terminus is the tiny hermitage of Allak-am. This religious site sits precariously on the edge of a precipice. On the sides of its main hall, colourful paintings depict scenes from Buddha's life and other familiar topics. We later proceed to Shinhungsa Temple the Great Bronze. A short easy stroll from the park plaza brings you to Sinheungsa ("Divine Undertaking Temple"), the principal temple of Seoraksan.
Mt Sorak is considered one of Korea's most beautiful mountain areas, consisting of of Oeseorak, Naeseorak and Namseorak. It boasts numerous valleys well known for their spring blossoms and autumn foliage. This 354 sq km park is famous for lush green valleys, granite peaks, glorious falls, several temples and two hot springs. Check in at the hotel.

Demilitarized Zone Tour
Today we visit a very special tour destination in Korea the DMZ including Imjingak Park, Dora Observatory, The 3rd Infiltration Tunnel and Dora Station. The DMZ was created by the Korean Armistice Agreements, which was signed on July 27 1953. Specifically, the Armistice created a 155-mile long military width line (MDL) with a 2-km deep demilitarized zone on each side of it (for a total width of 4 Km), where all military operations and hostile acts ceased. Later you will be transferred to Seoul's Dongdaemun Market for shopping.

Full Day Seoul City Tour
Today we have a city including Blue House, (Presidential Residence) the  National Folk Museum and the Gyeongbok Palace. This palace was built in the late 14th century by the founder of the Joseon Dynasty.  Later you will proceed to Kim Chi Making & cultural Hanbok weaving (Korean Cultural dressing code). In the afternoon, you will proceed to visit the Amethyst Showcase, Ginseng Soup, Myundong, Namdaemun Market Shopping & DFS. Namdaemun Market is the biggest traditional market in Seoul, various types of merchandise ranging from clothes, kitchenware & other goods of daily use are sold in this market & goods can be availed at reasonable prices. The Namdaemun Markets of Seoul is also preferred by both foreigners and locals for the traditional ambiance of the place.

Madrid - Toledo - Granada
Today we travel to the ancient capital of Castile - medieval Toledo - encircled by the River Tagus. Sightseeing with a local guide along the quaint and narrow streets highlights the Church of Santo Tome, the Synagogue and a Toledo steel workshop. Then we continue into Andalusia to Moorish hilltop Granada with its spectacular views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Tonight dinner is at our hotel.

Granada - Costa del Sol
This morning a local guide will take us on a tour of the exquisite Moorish Alhambra Palace with its fountain filled courtyards and stunning Mozarabic architecture. Later on to the Costa del Sol, one of the most popular holidays areas in Europe, where we'll have the chance to dip our feet in the blue waters of the Mediterranean. This evening, dinner will be served at our hotel.

We start the day with a Mediterranean coastal drive to Tarifa for the crossing to North Africa. We continue into a different world as we enter Morocco, driving past the Rif Mountains to the imperial city of Fez, the first of our six-night stay in Africa.

This morning we drive to cosmopolitan Casablanca, scene of Bogart's most romantic moments. You'll find some of North Africa's best beaches and coastline here. Our sightseeing tour shows us the modern sections of the city, including the amazing mosque. Then we visit the Casbah and explore its maze of twisted streets and alleys lined with colourful and tempting stalls.

Casablanca - Rabat - Tangier
We enjoy a morning drive along the Atlantic Coast to Rabat, capital of this fascinating country. Orientation shows us the Royal Mosque, Mausoleum and the Royal Palace. Then we continue on to the resort of Tangier, where orientation reveals highlights of this interesting seaport, including the Straits of Hercules where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean.

This romantic city was deeply influenced by the Moors, who dwelt in the area for 700 years. Hence the distinctive Moorish architecture of the Giralda Tower, which we see on the morning sightseeing along with the pools and fountains of the Maria Luisa Park and its elegant pavilions built for the Hispano-American exhibition in 1929.

Lisbon - Fatima - Salamanca
Today enjoy a scenic morning drive through the Serra d'Aire Mountains en route to the Shrine at Fatima, scene of celebrated religious miracles. Then we drive across the border back into Spain before reaching Salamanca, Spain's oldest university city. Time to visit the attractive Plaza Mayor before dinner.

Salamanca - Madrid
A scenic route takes us to Avila, the birthplace of St Teresa. Here we see the fortifications before we travel past the Sierra de Guadarrama en route back to Madrid. On arrival our guided sightseeing tour includes a visit to the Prado Museum with its wonderful Velazquez paintings as well as views of the Royal Palace, the Cervantes Memorial, the Cibeles Fountain and the Puerta de Sol. Tonight we enjoy a Farewell Dinner with wine in a local restaurant.

Conditions for Macleay Valley Travel's Spain, Portgual & Morocco Tour

Deposits and Payments - A non-refundable deposit of $400.00 per person is payable within 7 days of booking. This deposit is not refundable should you later cancel. The balance is payable in full 10 weeks prior to departure. 

Refunds and Cancellations - Cancellations after final payment will result in a refund limited to whatever we can recoup from the airline.

Insurance - Adequate travel insurance is essential. We can arrange this for you if desired.

Passports -
All travellers require a current passport with at least 6 months left on it at the end of the tour. Non-Australian passport holders require a re-entry visa for Australia. Visas are not required for any of these countries if travelling on an Australian passport.

Health and Fitness - Macleay Valley Travel recommends that the passenger is reasonably healthy and/or fit to participate in this tour. Persons with a disability requiring special assistance must be accompanied by a companion. Macleay Valley Travel and their representatives cannot provide this service. Macleay Valley Travel reserves the right to accept/decline or terminate a passenger's participation in the tour under certain circumstances.

Not  Included in the Cost -
All items of a personal nature such as telephone calls, drinks, excess baggage, tips, meals, (except those specified in the itinerary), etc. Also travel insurance and airport taxes. Australian airport tax must now be paid with your ticket, and comes to $720 at present.

Booking through other Agents - As we keep the cost of out tours as low as possible, there is insufficient margin for us to be able to pay commission to other travel agents, so some bookings can only be accepted if the client pays the other agent's commission. 
Macleay Valley Travel is a fully licensed travel agent and as such any monies paid to us are fully insured by the Travel Compensation Fund. We are happy for any prospective traveller with us to check us out with your local Consumer Affiars (fair trading) department.
Similarly, credit card payments can only be accepted if 2% is added to the price to help defray the heavy merchant fees charged to us by the credit card companies.

Limitation of Liability - As Macleay Valley Travel acts only as agent for the Airlines, Hotels, Coach Companies etc., providing accommodation, transportation and other services, Macleay Valley Travel shall not be liable or responsible for death or injury to any person or loss or damage to any property including baggage arising out of or connection with any transportation, accommodation or other services, or resulting directly or indirectly from acts of God, fire, breakdown in machinery or equipment, acts of Government or other authorities, de jure or defacto wars, whether declared or not, hostilities, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, epidemics, quarantines, medical or customs regulations, delays or cancellations caused by changes in schedules or itinerary, or over bookings or defaults or for any causes beyond Macleay Valley Travel's control or any loss or damage resulting from improper or insufficient passports, visas or other documents and neither Macleay Valley Travel, and its servants or employees shall be or become liable or responsible for any additional expenses or liability sustained or incurred by the tour member as a result of the foregoing causes.
Macleay Valley Travel reserves the right to modify the itinerary or the accommodation if circumstances make this necessary, provided that the amended itinerary is of equal value or greater value than that of the original program.
