All flights will be met at the airport and transferred to the

Today there will
be a tour to the Sampan Elephant ground and zoo. Located to the west of
Bangkok in Nakhon Pathom province. For less than an hour drive Samphran
Elephant ground and zoo is a popular sightseeing destination. It
highlights exciting events such as the Elephant theme shows and the
crocodile wrestling shows. In the elephant show, the elephants are the
stars where they dance, race, play football and games,
'Yutha Hathi' a great royal battle scene, is even performed with the
actors riding on the elephants. As for the wrestling show, the
crocodile and the master crocodile catcher perform breathtaking stunts
to their audience's delight.
The visitors can also check out the tropical garden and waterfalls on
the elephant's back. Visit the orchid nursery, and sample International
cuisine at the Erawan Restaurant (lunch inluded)
Accredited by CITES as 'One of the cleanest and most impressive public
displays of crocodiles in the world', the visitors will surely enjoy
exploring the zoo ground. |

Early afternoon we depart the hotel by boat to tour Bangkok's extensive
klong (canal) network. You will see the way of life of the Thai people.
You will stop and inspect the Royal Barges Museum, with its magnificent
ceremonial boats. We then visit Bangkok's colourful flower market. Then
we go by coach to visit the factory and showroom of a jewellery
manufacturer. Next we have dinner at one of Bangkok's renowned
restaurants. Then trasfer to Bangkok airport. |

This morning we
will visit the El Escorial Monastery. Experience the grandeur of the El
Escorial monastery on on a guided half-day trip from Madrid.
Afterwards, visit the poignant Valley of the Fallen monument erected in
memory of the millions who died in the Spanish Civil War. Gain insights
into Spain's intriguing history at these symbolic monuments reflecting
the Spanish monarchy, church and 20th-century conflict.
The Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo El Real was built by King Philip II
to house the remains of his parents, Charles I and Isabella of
Portugal. The austere Renaissance complex combines a palace and
monastery, and features a wonderful collection of art. On your visit,
an experienced guide will take you for a tour of the complex, including
the Pantheon of Kings and basilica.
Located six miles (9.5 kilometers) north of El Escorial lies the Valley
of the Fallen, a vast basillica built into the side of a mountain qand
topped by a gigantic granite cross. The monument was built by the
Spanish dictator General Franco to remember the dead of Spain's Civil
War. You'll take a guided tour inside the basilica, and admire the
spectacular valley landscape surrounding the complex.
At the present (August 2010) the Valley of the Fallen is closed
for renovation however it is expected to be open well before your tour
departs. However if the the Valley of the Fallen is still closed you
will enjoy an extended visit of the El Escorial monastery and the
library. |

Conditions
for Macleay Valley Travel's Spain, Portgual & Morocco Tour
Deposits and Payments - A non-refundable deposit of
$400.00 per person is payable within 7 days
of booking. This deposit is not refundable should you later cancel. The
balance is payable in full 10 weeks prior to departure.
Refunds and Cancellations - Cancellations after final
payment will result in a refund limited to whatever we can recoup from
the airline.
Insurance - Adequate
travel insurance is essential. We can arrange this for you if desired.
Passports - All
travellers require a current passport with at
least 6 months left
on it at the end of the tour. Non-Australian passport holders require a
re-entry visa for Australia. Visas are not required for any of these
countries if travelling on an Australian
passport.
Health and Fitness -
Macleay Valley Travel recommends that the passenger is reasonably
healthy and/or fit to participate in this tour. Persons with a
disability requiring special assistance must be accompanied by a
companion. Macleay Valley Travel and their representatives cannot
provide this service. Macleay Valley Travel reserves the right to
accept/decline or terminate a passenger's participation in the tour
under certain circumstances.
Not Included in the
Cost - All
items of a personal nature such as telephone calls, drinks, excess
baggage, tips, meals, (except those specified in the itinerary), travel
insurance etc.
Similarly, credit card payments can only be accepted if 2% is added to
the price to help defray the heavy merchant fees charged to us by the
credit card companies.
Basic Tour Price and Taxes -Air
taxes and fuel levies are included in the basic tour price, and as air
taxes and fuel levies change regularly the
exact amount will be advised at time of invoicing. At present air taxes
and fuel levies come to $645 for the standard tour. Total tour cost
may therefore change.
Breakaway Fee
All fully inclusive prices are based on group travel and any deviation
from the set itinerary will incur a breakaway fee.
Booking through other Agents
- As we keep the cost of out tours as low as possible, there is
insufficient margin for us to be able to pay commission to other travel
agents, so some bookings can only be accepted if the client pays the
other agent's commission.
Macleay Valley Travel is a fully licensed travel agent and as such any
monies paid to us are fully insured by the Travel Compensation Fund. We
are happy for any prospective traveller with us to check us out with
your local Consumer Affiars (fair trading) department.
Limitation of Liability - As
Macleay Valley Travel acts only as agent for the Airlines, Hotels,
Coach Companies etc., providing accommodation, transportation and other
services, Macleay Valley Travel shall not be liable or responsible for
death or injury to any person or loss or damage to any property
including baggage arising out of or connection with any transportation,
accommodation or other services, or resulting directly or indirectly
from acts of God, fire, breakdown in machinery or equipment, acts of
Government or other authorities, de jure or defacto wars, whether
declared or not, hostilities, civil disturbances, strikes, riots,
thefts, epidemics, quarantines, medical or customs regulations, delays
or cancellations caused by changes in schedules or itinerary, or over
bookings or defaults or for any causes beyond Macleay Valley Travel's
control or any loss or damage resulting from improper or insufficient
passports, visas or other documents and neither Macleay Valley Travel,
and its servants or employees shall be or become liable or
responsible for any additional expenses or liability sustained or
incurred by the tour member as a result of the foregoing causes.
Macleay Valley Travel reserves the right to modify the itinerary or the
accommodation if circumstances make this necessary, provided that the
amended itinerary is of equal value or greater value than that of the
original program.
