Most days there will be a choice of optional day tours, and tour participants are free to do as much or as little as they wish with the group. This makes this tour suitable even for people who don't particulary like group tours, as there is no regimentation.

	Itinerary for Phuket & Lanta Island - June 2009

16.06.09	Depart Brisbane at 11:55pm on TG 992, arriving in Bangkok at 6:00am the next morning.
17.06.09	Depart Sydney at 10:00am TG 994, arriving in Bangkok at 4:25pm. Depart Melbourne at 4:05pm on TG 982, arriving in Bangkok at 10:25pm. All flights will be met at Bangkok airport and transferred to your hotel. Overnight at the Manhattan hotel in central Bangkok.
18.06.09	Morning optional tour to see Bangkok's beautiful flower markets, followed by a boat tour of Bangkok's Klongs (canals), where you see the Temple of Dawn and stop to inspect the Royal Barges Museum. Price $30.00
19.06.09	Transfer to Don Muang airport for your flight to Phuket departing at 11:50am on TG 1213 arriving at 1:10pm. Transfer to your hotel close to the beach and within walking distance to the Patong Beach shopping and entertainment area. Overnight at the Patong Lodge Hotel.

22.06.09	Afternoon and evening optional tour to Phuket city. Time for shopping, followed by a two-hour medical massage. This is followed by dinner at an excellent restaurant atop Phuket hill with spectacular views. Price $57.00 (Including tip for massage girls). Overnight at the Patong Lodge Hotel.
23.06.09	Full day optional tour to Phang Nga Bay. 100km coach trip to Phang Nga Bay. Here we go to the boat pier where we join a boat trip through one of the most spectacular parts of Thailand. Hundreds of odd-shaped limestone formations rise from the water often covered with tropical vegetation, some of them are just tiny rocks, others form large islands. We circumnavigate one called 'James Bond Island' - the place where 'The Man with the Golden Gun' was filmed. We visit the Muslim village of Koh Panyl, which is built on stilts out on the open sea. Here we have a delicious seafood lunch before returning to the mainland and coach back to Phuket. Price $62.00 Overnight at the Patong Lodge Hotel.
24.06.09	Half day optional Elephant and Jeep Safari. We have a 30-minute jungle trek on elephants, followed by a ride on a traditional ox-cart pulled by water buffalo. Then we have a jeep safari into Chalong Highlands where we visit a local home and rubber plantation. We also have demonstration of Thai cooking, as well as a demonstration of a monkey harvesting coconuts. Price $60.00 Overnight at the Patong Lodge Hotel.
25.06.09	Optional Simon Cabaret. This highly professional transvestite show with wonderful dancing, costumes and scenery. Price $54.00 including transfers and dinner at an excellent Patong Beach Restaurant. Overnight at the Patong Lodge Hotel.
26.06.09	Today we check out of our hotel with a three-hour coach transfer and two ferry crossings to Koh Lanta (Lanta Island) En route we will have a stop in Krabi township. Check-in to your hotel. Overnight at the Royal Lanta Resort Hotel.
27.06.09	Today you have an opportunity to go on a hour optional elephant trek through the Koh Lanta jungle. Price $38.00 Overnight at the Royal Lanta Resort Hotel.
28.06.09	If the sea is calm, the tour guide will arrange an optional full day boat cruise, possibly to Phi-Phi Island. Final details and price will be notified on the tour. Overnight at the Royal Lanta Resort Hotel.
29.06.09	Today there is an included one-hour Thai medical massage at our hotel -  (just tip the girls). This evening there will be our included farewell dinner at our hotel. Overnight at the Royal Lanta Resort Hotel.
30.06.09	All passengers transfer to Krabi Airport in the afternoon for flight to Bangkok. Depart Krabi at 9:05pm on TG 260, arriving in Bangkok at 10:25pm. Brisbane passengers will be transferred to a hotel in the airport area for an overnight stay. Sydney passengers depart Bangkok at 11:50pm TG 995, arriving in Sydney at 12 noon (01.07.09)
01.07.09	Melbourne passengers depart Bangkok at 12:15am on TG 981, arriving in Melbourne at 12:05pm. Brisbane passengers return to airport, departing Bangkok at 8:00am on TG 991, arriving in Brisbane at 10:45pm. Note:  For the extra night in Bangkok and return transfers there is an extra charge of $65.00 per person twin or $110.00 single room for Brisbane passengers.  If Sydney and Melbourne passengers wish they can do this also and get the 8:00am flight the next morning.
Note:	Airport taxes and levies at present total an additional amount of approximately $360. We have no control over this price and it is subject to change.

Deposits and Payments - A non-refundable deposit of $200.00 per person is payable within 7 days of booking. This deposit is not refundable should you later cancel. The balance is payable in full 8 weeks prior to departure. 

Refunds and Cancellations - Cancellations after final payment will result in a refund limited to whatever we can recoup from the airline.

Insurance - Adequate travel insurance is essential. We can arrange this for you if desired.

Passports - All travellers require a current passport with at least 6 months left on it at the end of the tour. Non-Australian passport holders require a re-entry visa for Australia.
Visas are not required for Thailand if travelling on an Australian passport.

Not  Included in the Cost - All items of a personal nature such as telephone calls, drinks, excess baggage, tips, meals, (except those specified in the itinerary), etc. Also travel insurance and departure taxesand levies. Australian airport tax must now be paid with your ticket, and comes to $360 at present.

Health and Fitness
Macleay Valley Travel recommends that the passenger is reasonably healthy and/or fit to participate in this tour.  Persons with a disability requiring special assistance must be accompanied by a companion. Macleay Valley Travel and their representatives cannot provide this service.  Macleay Valley Travel reserves the right to accept/decline or terminate a passenger's participation in the tour under certain circumstances.

Booking through other Agents - As we keep the cost of out tours as low as possible, there is insufficient margin for us to be able to pay commission to other travel agents, so some bookings can only be accepted if the client pays the other agent's commission. 
Macleay Valley Travel is a fully licensed travel agent and as such any monies paid to us are fully insured by the Travel Compensation Fund. We are happy for any prospective traveller with us to check us out with your local Consumer Affiars (fair trading) department.
Similarly, credit card payments can only be accepted if 2% is added to the price to help defray the heavy merchant fees charged to us by the credit card companies.

Limitation of Liability - As Macleay Valley Travel acts only as agent for the Airlines, Hotels, Coach Companies etc., providing accommodation, transportation and other services, Macleay Valley Travel shall not be liable or responsible for death or injury to any person or loss or damage to any property including baggage arising out of or connection with any transportation, accommodation or other services, or resulting directly or indirectly from acts of God, fire, breakdown in machinery or equipment, acts of Government or other authorities, de jure or defacto wars, whether declared or not, hostilities, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, epidemics, quarantines, medical or customs regulations, delays or cancellations caused by changes in schedules or itinerary, or over bookings or defaults or for any causes beyond Macleay Valley Travel's control or any loss or damage resulting from improper or insufficient passports, visas or other documents and neither Macleay Valley Travel, and its servants or employees shall be or become liable or responsible for any additional expenses or liability sustained or incurred by the tour member as a result of the foregoing causes.
Macleay Valley Travel reserves the right to modify the itinerary or the accommodation if circumstances make this necessary, provided that the amended itinerary is of equal value or greater value than that of the original program.
