  Itinerary for Java & Bali Tour - April 2010 
Breakfast daily is included when in Indonesia.
04.04.10 Brisbane passengers depart Brisbane at 9.30am on SQ 256 arriving in Singapore at 3.35pm
Depart Melbourne at 10.10am on SQ 238, arriving in Singapore at 4.05pm.
Depart Sydney at 11.30am on SQ 232, arriving in Singapore at 5.45pm.
All passengers depart Singapore at 6.45pm on SQ 966. arriving in Jakarta at 7.20pm.
Jakarta is Indonesia's capital and is also the centre of government for both business and industry. It is the main gateway with its contrast of modern western architecture and traditional culture.
Transfer to Ibis Kemayoran 3 star or similar.
05.04.10 After breakfast visit Sunda Kelapa Harbour and the city, pass Merdekaa Square, the National Monument, Presidential Palace the finest in South East Asia.
Overnight at Mirah Hotel Bogor 3 star or similar.
06.04.10 Visit Bogor Botanical Garden, which is best known for having the most tropical plants in the world. On 111 hectares, the garden contains over 10,000 typical plants. Adjacent to the gardens is Bogor Palace, which is of early 1800's vintage and the preferred residence of many colonial governor-generals. We then have a jungle safari. Sprawling over 168 hectares, this safari park is recognised as being one of the most successful breeding centres of endangered species in the world. Sumatran and albino tigers, rhinoceroses. The park also offers a camp-site, recreational forests and a caravan park. We follow the winding road of Puncak and arrive at the highest point, where we have a panoramic view of a tea plantation along with the pickers on the way to Bandung.

07.04.10 Near Bandung, we drive right up to the rim of Tangkuban Perahu and visit a volcano, where you can gaze into the bubbling mud and sculpture below. We visit the nearby Ciater Hot Springs and thermal spa.

08.04.10 On our way to Yogjakarta the scenery varies from lush, green hillsides to small villages and colourful local markets.
Overnight Jayakarta 4 star or Saphir 4 star hotel.
In the evening you can stroll along the famous Malioboro shopping centre.
09.04.10 Yogjakarta, visit the Borobudur Temple which was built in the 8th century and is the largest artistic expression of the principles of the Buddhist religion, combing art and architecture to produce a true 'Wonder of the World'. The temple has 504 statues of Buddha and more than 1300 carved panels depicting scenes from his life and 1472 stapes. We'll visit the Prambanan Hindu Temple, built in the 9th century. Yogjakarta is the cultural capital of central Java built between the 5th and 9th century A.D. It is the main gateway to central Java, and its fertile plain was the seat of the mighty Javanese Empire of Mataran. Yogjakarta is still a Sultanate, now under the jurisdiction of Sultan Hamengku Buyona IX, a dynasty dating from 1755. Due to its location and history, the arts flourished in Yogjakarta and it still offers a wide variety of traditional arts today, as there are many craftsmen.  We visit a gold and silver workshop. The Kraton Palace is surrounded by four walls. The compound and buildings are European rococo.

10.04.10 From Yogyakarta we drive to Malang, via Surakarta to Wonogiri and then Ponorogo on the south side of Mount Liman 2563, then we drive to Blitar south of the Mount Ngantang along the lake of Karang Kates to Malang for city sightseeing.
Overnight in Batu Malang at Karitka Wijaya 3 star hotel or similar
11.04.10 After breakfast we do a Malang city tour & visit Selecta Park - a recreation park with beautiful flowers and colourful fishes. Malang City with the cold climated and well known as "Apple City". Then drive to Bromo.
Overnight at Lava View hotel or similar
12.04.10 Optional Midnight Bromo Sunrise Tour $25 (min 4 pax) climbs up the volcano Mount Bromo to see sunrise and see Hindu temple, and the smoke in the crater.
Whole group drive to Kalibaru, The Garden of Eve, with coffee, tobacco, rubber plantations we can visit.
Overnight at Kalibaru Cottage or Margo Utomo hotel.
13.04.10 Today we can walk through villages or plantations, before our drive to the ferry to cross the sea and arrive in Gilimanuk, Bali. Visit Tanah Lot Temple on the way to our hotel in Kuta.
You have 4 nights at the Kuta Beach Club Hotel.

17.04.10 Transfer to Dempasar airport. Departing at 9.15am on SQ 941, arriving in Singapore at 11.45am. Transfer to the Peninsular Excelsior Hotel or similar in central Singapore for a 2 day 1 night stay.
18.04.10 Late 6.00pm check - out from your hotel.  Transfer back to Singapore Airport.  
Sydney passengers depart Singapore at 8.35pm on SQ 221, arriving in Sydney at 5.55am. (19.04.10)

Conditions for Macleay Valley Travel's Java & Bali Tour

Deposits and Payments - A non-refundable deposit of $200.00 per person is payable within 7 days of booking. This deposit is not refundable should you later cancel. The balance is payable in full 8 weeks prior to departure. 

Refunds and Cancellations - Cancellations after final payment will result in a refund limited to whatever we can recoup from the airline.
Insurance

Adequate travel insurance is essential. We can arrange this for you if desired.

Passports - All travellers require a current passport with at least 6 months left on it at the end of the tour. Non-Australian passport holders require a re-entry visa for Australia. Australian passport holders require a visa for Indonesia, which is obtained upon arrival at Jakarta Airport. The cost of the visa is US $25.00
Basic Tour Price & Taxes - Air taxes and fuel levies are included in the basic tour price. At present the taxes are $485. Air taxes & fuel surcharges may change therefore the exact amount will be advised at the time of payment. Your total tour cost may change a little at the time of final payment.
Not  Included in the Cost - All items of a personal nature such as telephone calls, drinks, excess baggage, tips, meals, (except those specified in the itinerary), etc. Also travel insurance.

Breakaway Fee - All fully inclusive prices are based on group travel and any deviation from the set itinerary will incur a breakaway fee.

Health and Fitness - Macleay Valley Travel recommends that the passenger is reasonably healthy and/or fit to participate in this tour. Persons with a disability requiring special assistance must be accompanied by a companion. Macleay Valley Travel and their representatives cannot provide this service. Macleay Valley Travel reserves the right to accept/decline or terminate a passenger's participation in the tour under certain circumstances.

Booking through other Agents - As we keep the cost of out tours as low as possible, there is insufficient margin for us to be able to pay commission to other travel agents, so some bookings can only be accepted if the client pays the other agent's commission.  Macleay Valley Travel is a fully licensed travel agent and as such any monies paid to us are fully insured by the Travel Compensation Fund. We are happy for any prospective traveller with us to check us out with your local Consumer Affiars (fair trading) department.Similarly, credit card payments can only be accepted if 2% is added to the price to help defray the heavy merchant fees charged to us by the credit card companies.
 
Limitation of Liability - As Macleay Valley Travel acts only as agent for the Airlines, Hotels, Coach Companies etc., providing accommodation, transportation and other services, Macleay Valley Travel shall not be liable or responsible for death or injury to any person or loss or damage to any property including baggage arising out of or connection with any transportation, accommodation or other services, or resulting directly or indirectly from acts of God, fire, breakdown in machinery or equipment, acts of Government or other authorities, de jure or defacto wars, whether declared or not, hostilities, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, epidemics, quarantines, medical or customs regulations, delays or cancellations caused by changes in schedules or itinerary, or over bookings or defaults or for any causes beyond Macleay Valley Travel's control or any loss or damage resulting from improper or insufficient passports, visas or other documents and neither Macleay Valley Travel, and its servants or employees shall be or become liable or responsible for any additional expenses or liability sustained or incurred by the tour member as a result of the foregoing causes.
Macleay Valley Travel reserves the right to modify the itinerary or the accommodation if circumstances make this necessary, provided that the amended itinerary is of equal value or greater value than that of the original program
