Depart Sydney at 9.05am on SQ 220, arriving in Singapore at 2.30pm.
Depart Brisbane at 9.30am on SQ 256, arriving in Singapore at 3.35pm.
Depart Melbourne at 11.10am on SQ 238, arriving in Singapore at 5.35pm.
All passengers will be transferred to their 4 star central Singapore Hotel for a 2 night stay.

This morning we drive to Memphis where we see the limestone Colossus of Ramses II and the giant Alabaster Sphinx. Next we continue to Sakkara where the Step Pyramid heralded the start of the pyramid age. From here prepare yourself for a breathtaking experience as we marvel at one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, which casts its enigmatic gaze across the sands of the desert. We'll also view the Solar Boat. In the evening we will enjoy dinner at our hotel.

Morning guided tour of the Cairo Museum of Antiquities to see the fabulous collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts, including the stunning treasures from Tutankhamun's tomb. Entrance is also included into the Mummy Room. After lunch we shall visit the Citadel of Saladin, Mohammed Ali Mosque and the Hanging Church. At the end of your sightseeing you shall venture out to the world famous Khan el Khalili Bazaar for browsing and shopping. Dinner is at a local restaurant.

We have an early morning flight to Luxor and on arrival we have free time before boarding our luxury cruise boat for lunch and time to unpack for your four night cruise. Later we visit the grand Temple of Luxor, which dominates the town and also the gigantic temple complex at Karnak. Explore the mighty Temple of Amun with its mass obelisks, pylons, colossi and courts. Plus marvel at the remains of the amazing Avenue of the Sphinx, which once stretched between the Temples of Karnak and Luxor. Later you return to the boat for dinner.

Cruising: Luxor - Edfu
Today's highlight is a visit to the Valley of the Kings. Secluded in the Theban Hills, it is where the New Kingdom pharaohs were buried in dramatically shafted tombs built into the hillsides. Next onto the breathtaking Deir el Bahri, Queen Hatshepsut's impressive temple. Later you return to the ship and sail for Edfu.

This morning we visit Edfu to see Egypt's best preserved cult temple, which was dedicated to the falcon god Horus. Then we continue our tranquil cruise along the Nile arriving at Kom-Ombo. Why not relax on deck and watch the villages on the banks of the river glide by? They have changed little in a thousand years.

Kom-Ombo - Aswan
Today we visit the roofless Temple of Kom-Ombo, which was built for the falcon and crocodile gods. Next we cruise to Aswan where we take a memorable Felucca ride across the Nile to visit the Botanical Gardens on Kitchener's Island. The Felucca is the traditional craft of Egyptians who have sailed in them down the centuries. An awesome sight is a blood-red sunset, which is commonplace in Aswan, with the distinctive sails of Felucca's silhouetted against the setting sun.

After breakfast we disembark to explore the High Dam. Then we visit the Temple of Isis on the Island of Philae and the massive unfinished obelisk lying in the granite quarry nearby.
There is an optional tour where you can enjoy a once in a lifetime opportunity on an excursion to the mighty Sun Temple of Abu Simbel, flanked by four giant stone statues of Ramses II. The Temple was reclaimed from the dam and reconstructed in its present and unforgettable location. The cost of the tour is $335, including the Aswan to Abu Simbel return air-fare.
You return to Cairo where you attend the Sound and Light Show in Giza. Dinner is at the hotel.

                                            Conditions for Macleay Valley Travel's Egypt Tour

Deposits and Payments
A non-refundable deposit of $400.00 per person is payable within 7 days of booking. This deposit is not refundable should you later cancel. The balance is payable 12 weeks prior to departure.
Refunds and Cancellations
Cancellations after final payment will result in a refund limited to whatever we can recoup from the airline.
Insurance
Adequate travel insurance is essential. We can arrange this for you if desired and can offer excellent, comprehensive and reliable cover. 
Passports
All travellers require a current passport with at least 6 months left on it at the end of the tour. Non-Australian passport holders require a re-entry visa for Australia. Visas are required for Egypt at a cost of $40 plus $30 processing fee.
Basic Tour Price and Taxes -Air taxes and fuel levies are included in the basic tour price, and as air taxes and fuel levies change regularly  the exact amount will be advised at time of invoicing. At present air taxes and fuel levies come to $550 for the standard tour. Total tour cost may therefore change.
Breakaway Fee
All fully inclusive prices are based on group travel and any deviation from the set  itinerary will incur a breakaway fee.
Not  Included in the Cost - Travel insurance, visas and all items of a personal nature such as telephone calls, drinks, excess baggage, tips, meals (except those specified in the itinerary), etc. are not included in the cost. Similarly, credit card payments can only be accepted if 2% is added to the price to help defray the heavy merchant fees charged to us by the credit card companies.

Booking through other Agents
As we keep the cost of out tours as low as possible, there is insufficient margin for us to be able to pay commission to other travel agents, so some bookings can only be accepted if the client pays the other agent's commission. Macleay Valley Travel is a fully licensed travel agent and as such any monies paid to us are fully insured by the Travel Compensation Fund. We are happy for any prospective traveller with us to check us out with your local Consumer Affairs (fair trading) department. Similarly, credit card payments can only be accepted if 2% is added to the price to help defray the heavy merchant fees charged to us by the credit card companies.
Health and Fitness - Macleay Valley Travel recommends that the passenger is reasonably healthy and/or fit to participate in this tour. Persons with a disability requiring special assistance must be accompanied by a companion. Macleay Valley Travel and their representatives cannot provide this service. Macleay Valley Travel reserves the right to accept/decline or terminate a passenger's participation in the tour under certain circumstances.
Limitation of Liability
As Macleay Valley Travel acts only as agent for the Airlines, Hotels, Coach Companies etc., providing accommodation, transportation and other services, Macleay Valley Travel shall not be liable or responsible for death or injury to any person or loss or damage to any property including baggage arising out of or connection with any transportation, accommodation or other services, or resulting directly or indirectly from acts of God, fire, breakdown in machinery or equipment, acts of Government or other authorities, de jure or defacto wars, whether declared or not, hostilities, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, epidemics, quarantines, medical or customs regulations, delays or cancellations caused by changes in schedules or itinerary, or over bookings or defaults or for any causes beyond Macleay Valley Travel's control or any loss or damage resulting from improper or insufficient passports, visas or other documents and neither Macleay Valley Travel, and its servants or employees shall be or become liable or responsible for any additional expenses or liability sustained or incurred by the tour member as a result of the foregoing causes. Macleay Valley Travel reserves the right to modify the itinerary or the accommodation if circumstances make this necessary, provided that the amended itinerary is of equal value or greater value than that of the original program.
