23.02.11 Depart Sydney at 11:00am on TG 476, arriving in Bangkok at 4:30pm.
Depart Brisbane at 2:20pm on TG 474, arriving in Bangkok at 8:30pm.

All flights will be met at the airport and transferred to the wonderful 5 star Millenium Hilton Hotel, a near-new riverfront hotel.

Today there will be an orientation tour of Munich, the capital of Bavaria, Germany's most prosperous province. The tour features the Olympic Stadium built for the Olympics in 1972, and the Marienplatz, with its fascinating Glockenspiel clock. This evening enjoy a welcome drink with our tour director.

Munich - Regensburg - Prague
After breakfast we make our way to Regensburg with its fascinating historic old towm, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Then we enter the Czech Republic, pass by Pilsen renowned for its breweries, and reach one of Europe's most exciting cities, Prague.

Our guided sightseeing tour shows us how much Prague has blossomed since the Velvet Revolution. We visit impressive St. Vitus Cathedral, which is set inside the 1,000 year old Prague Castle, then cross the Vltava River to explore the cobblestoned Old Town Square and see the Astronomical Clock. Then time at leisure to explore this charming city further.
Tonight we enjoy a highlight dinner in a local restaurant.

Prague - Bratislava - Budapest
Our drive today takes us through Moravia in the Czech Republic and on to visit Bratislava, capital of the Slovak Republic, with its medieval town hall in the quaint old town area. Then we enter Hungary and make our way to Budapest, which straddles the wide River Danube, and our hotel.

Budapest Sightseeing
Our morning sightseeing tour with local guide includes views of the Great Synagogue and a walking tour of Old Buda including the Fisherman's Bastion with views over the Parliament and Danube. Then free time perhaps to shop, explore or enjoy a guided visit of Parliament and an excursion to old Hungary.
This evening we will enjoy a 'Be My Guest' authentic Hungarian dinner.

Budapest - Gyor - Vienna
This morning we drive through the Transdanubia region, dotted with orchards and vineyards, to Gyor. Founded by the Romans, it has retained much of its medieval and baroque charm. Here we will have time for a stroll before we cross the Austrian border to Imperial Vienna, where we spend the next two nights.

Our morning guided sightseeing tour highlights the Hofburg, Ringstrasse, the State Opera House and the other main attractions of this elegant city. We also feature a walking tour, which takes in the oldest part of the city and St Stephens Cathedral. Then we have free time to explore the heart of Vienna.

Vienna - Salzburg
This morning we leave Vienna and follow the Danube Valley, passing the impressive monastery at Melk, before passing Linz, and continuing to Salzburg for the night. Here our walking tour with the local guide highlights the Mirabell Gardens, the Cathedral square and Mozart's birthplace in the narrow Getreidegasse. Later we enjoy coffee or tea and a delicious cake in a traditional cafe in Salzburg before continuing to our hotel.

Today a short drive back to the Bavarian capital, Munich. This evening we will enjoy a farewell dinner together to celebrate our tour.

This morning after breakfast it is time to bid farewell to our tour director and travelling companions as our European tour comes to an end. Transfer to Munich Airport, departing at 9:50pm on TG 925, arriving in Bangkok at 2:25pm the next day (07.03.11).

Today there will be a tour to the Sampan Elephant ground and zoo. Located to the west of Bangkok in Nakhon Pathom province. For less than an hour drive Samphran Elephant ground and zoo is a popular sightseeing destination.  It highlights exciting events such as the Elephant theme shows and the crocodile wrestling shows. In the elephant show, the elephants are the stars where they dance, race, play football and games, 'Yutha Hathi' a great royal battle scene, is even performed with the actors riding on the elephants. As for the wrestling show, the crocodile and the master crocodile catcher perform breathtaking stunts to their audience's delight.
The visitors can also check out the tropical garden and waterfalls on the elephant's back. Visit the orchid nursery, and sample International cuisine at the Erawan Restaurant (lunch inluded)
Accredited by CITES as 'One of the cleanest and most impressive public displays of crocodiles in the world', the visitors will surely enjoy exploring the zoo ground.
Late 6:00pm check-out from Hotel. Transfer to Bangkok Airport.
Sydney passengers depart Bangkok at 11:59pm on TG 477, arriving in Sydney at 1:20pm (09.03.11).
Brisbane passengers depart Bangkok at 11:59pm on TG 473, arriving in Brisbane at 12:05pm (09.03.11).

Conditions for Macleay Valley Travel's Central Europe Tour

Deposits and Payments - A non-refundable deposit of $400.00 per person is payable within 7 days of booking. This deposit is not refundable should you later cancel. The balance is payable in full 10 weeks prior to departure. 
Refunds and Cancellations - Cancellations after final payment will result in a refund limited to whatever we can recoup from the airline.
Insurance - Adequate travel insurance is essential. We can arrange this for you if desired.
Passports - All travellers require a current passport with at least 6 months left on it at the end of the tour. Non-Australian passport holders require a re-entry visa for Australia. Visas are not required for any of these countries if travelling on an Australian passport.
Health and Fitness - Macleay Valley Travel recommends that the passenger is reasonably healthy and/or fit to participate in this tour. Persons with a disability requiring special assistance must be accompanied by a companion. Macleay Valley Travel and their representatives cannot provide this service. Macleay Valley Travel reserves the right to accept/decline or terminate a passenger's participation in the tour under certain circumstances.
Not  Included in the Cost - All items of a personal nature such as telephone calls, drinks, excess baggage, tips, meals, (except those specified in the itinerary), travel insurance etc.
Similarly, credit card payments can only be accepted if 2% is added to the price to help defray the heavy merchant fees charged to us by the credit card companies.
Basic Tour Price and Taxes -Air taxes and fuel levies are included in the basic tour price, and as air taxes and fuel levies change regularly  the exact amount will be advised at time of invoicing. At present air taxes and fuel levies come to $670 for the standard tour. Total tour cost may therefore change.
Breakaway Fee
All fully inclusive prices are based on group travel and any deviation from the set  itinerary will incur a breakaway fee.
Booking through other Agents - As we keep the cost of out tours as low as possible, there is insufficient margin for us to be able to pay commission to other travel agents, so some bookings can only be accepted if the client pays the other agent's commission. 
Macleay Valley Travel is a fully licensed travel agent and as such any monies paid to us are fully insured by the Travel Compensation Fund. We are happy for any prospective traveller with us to check us out with your local Consumer Affiars (fair trading) department.
Limitation of Liability - As Macleay Valley Travel acts only as agent for the Airlines, Hotels, Coach Companies etc., providing accommodation, transportation and other services, Macleay Valley Travel shall not be liable or responsible for death or injury to any person or loss or damage to any property including baggage arising out of or connection with any transportation, accommodation or other services, or resulting directly or indirectly from acts of God, fire, breakdown in machinery or equipment, acts of Government or other authorities, de jure or defacto wars, whether declared or not, hostilities, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, epidemics, quarantines, medical or customs regulations, delays or cancellations caused by changes in schedules or itinerary, or over bookings or defaults or for any causes beyond Macleay Valley Travel's control or any loss or damage resulting from improper or insufficient passports, visas or other documents and neither Macleay Valley Travel, and its servants or employees shall be or become liable or responsible for any additional expenses or liability sustained or incurred by the tour member as a result of the foregoing causes.
Macleay Valley Travel reserves the right to modify the itinerary or the accommodation if circumstances make this necessary, provided that the amended itinerary is of equal value or greater value than that of the original program.
